Therapeutic Approaches and Interventions:

TRAUMA/POLYVAGAL INFORMED: â€‹â€‹

Hi, my name is Britany Balch (she/her). Welcome to my page!

If you’ve been dealing with overwhelming feelings, anxiety, depression, addiction, past trauma or relational concerns, you’ve come to the right place.  If you’re looking to gain tools to heal from the past or present, I would be honored to assist you in that journey.

Maybe a part of you is feeling overwhelmed and uncertain. Maybe part of you feels stuck in the past or extremely anxious. Have you had times where you felt like you had many parts at war with yourself? This inner conflict that goes on inside can feel exhausting and debilitating, but you don’t need to face this alone.

The good news is my approach to therapy can help you find the curious, compassionate, calm, creative, and courageous Self that is within you! My goal for our work together is for you to feel empowered to make decisions and restore a sense of calm and clarity within yourself.

I use an integrated approach to treatment incorporating Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment Theory, and Emotion Focused Therapy to help you heal from the past and thrive in the future. You will also be equipped with various grounding tools to help you stay present in and out of the session.

Just a little bit about me: I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Intern and completed my Master of Arts at the University of Central Florida. I have had experience working with clients in various inpatient and outpatient settings struggling with substance abuse, trauma and many other mental health concerns. Through my work in these settings, I found my passion for helping people especially those in underserved populations such as LGBTQ+ individuals.

In my free time, you can find me spending time with my friends, family and dog named Curly!  I love to watercolor paint, listen to music, cook, and try new foods!

I truly love working with my clients and watching them transform their lives. I am so glad that you are taking the first step towards healing and would love the opportunity to work with you.
